GRAND REVEAL! World Celebration at Epcot

The LOOOOOONG awaited World Celebration is FINALLY open in Epcot and we are taking you along to explore what this area has to offer!

But first, don’t forget to watch our video highlighting the new area!

The Gardens

This area is broken up into 4 ‘Garden’ type areas. Connections Garden, Creations Garden, Inspiration Garden, and CommuniCore Gardens. The center has a large planter installation that when you look from high above (aka the monorail) you can see the shape of the epcot logo! And then to finish off there is Dreamer’s Point where you will find the Walt Disney statue.

Pay attention to the music! This is an all new music loop that plays throughout the front of the park and it plays a role with the new Nighttime Spectacular Luminous: Symphony of Us as it is hidden all throughout the music of the show! And for those of you that know (aka my vlogger friends who use royalty free music)…. no more Epidemic Sound music in Connections & Creations! This new music loop plays in there as well. (again… if you know, you know lol)

Connections Garden

As the name suggests, this area is right outside of Connections Cafe and Eatery and is almost meant to be an extension of that space. You will find lots of seating including picnic tables, Adirondack chairs for relaxing, and even tons of charging stations if you need a quick recharge!

There are lots of trees in this area that as time goes on and the trees get bigger and fuller will provide lots of shade. On a nicer day, this can be a great option for guests dining at Connections or simply a good space for some people watching.

Creations Garden

This area is located right next to Connections Garden and out front of the Creations Shop! This area at first was interesting to me as it didn’t seem like much was going on, BUT it is rumored that this might be a location for some future festival food booths! There are some great benches for relaxing and winding blue and green paths. Right now, you may even catch Pluto causing some trouble with a meet and greet!

CommuniCore Gardens

This is definitely an area I plan on spending alot of time for days I want to take my work to the park (I know… that spoiled local life). This area isn’t totally complete yet as CommuniCore Hall is still under construction. That building will be the future Festival center with a stage and areas for demonstrations, merchandise, and more!

The part that is complete has many benches, picnic tables, and other seating/table areas for guests to enjoy. It is tucked behind some plants and trees, so it so far tends to not be very busy. Again, you are going to find TONS of charging outlets and probably one of my favorite elements are the beautiful lighting details above some of the seating.

Inspiration Gardens

Currently, this is a temporary home to Daisy’s meet and greet! Once CommuniCore Hall is complete, you’ll find a permanent meet and greet space for the fab 5 inside the building. In the mean time, Daisy is just outside under the really cool architecture structures. I thought it was neat that this space has more ‘man made’ elements to it as the focal point where as the other areas really focus on the nature.

There are also some great benches in this are and I think over time, the colors of the metal structures will change and turn out really cool!

Dreamer’s Point

This is definitely going to be the most popular spot in World Celebration! This is at the ‘top’ of the gardens right behind Spaceship Earth. There is a looooooong bench with the Bronze Walt Disney statue placed in the center. Pay close attention as the the stonework on the bench and ground around him is a map of the original Epcot concept!

This is a pretty popular photo spot at the moment, so expect there to be a bit of a line to check it out and know that it’s not so much a ‘hang out’ area right now. They have gone back and forth between having a photopass photographer at this location, so be prepared to take your own photos just in case!

BIG pro tip! If you do want your photos here, MAKE SURE you come in the daytime! At night, all the lighting comes from the ground and although the photopass photographers have a flash, it makes for some pretty unflattering photos….

Center Gardens

In the middle of the whole area is the large Epcot logo planter. I’ll be honest that it looks a little weird from ground level, but there are LOTS of great spots to take pictures with Spaceship Earth and even more spaces for a quick rest on the benches surrounding the planter.

During the day, this area isn’t something I would go out of my way for, BUT at night, that’s a totally different story!

Nighttime World Celebration

This entire area completely transforms and comes to life once the sun goes down! There are a ton of unique lighting elements all around the gardens including the light up Epcot logo in the center! Both these lights, and the light beams surrounding the area, PLUS several other lighting elements around Dreamer’s Point and surrounding trees are all synchronized to the light shows that happen throughout the evening on Spaceship Earth!

They do pipe in the music, so this is a great spot to check out those lighting shows. They happen around every 10 minutes once the sun goes down, and vary depending on what events are happening in Epcot.

This area can get a little busier at night, so if you want some great photos, hang out after park close and wait for the crowds to pour out!

I know that many guests will probably walk straight past this area as they hurry to get to the attractions, but if you are looking for a break, come all the time and are able to slow down, or maybe you’re a local, take a few minutes and enjoy this new area!
