Cars Family Suites at Art of Animation Resort

Art of Animation is one of Disney’s most popular resorts for families and for good reason! This Resort boasts larger than life theming based around some of your favorite animated classics like Lion King, Finding Nemo, The Little Mermaid, and what we are talking about today: Cars!

The Resort

Art of Animation is considered a Value Level Resort which means it is one of Disney’s more budget friendly options. However, I personally would consider Art of Animation kinda in the middle of a Value and Moderate as the rooms are a little more expensive than the other value resorts, but not quite as much as the moderate level resorts.

This resort is also made up of mostly family suites that sleep up to 6 guests. The Little Mermaid rooms are the only ones that are standard size sleeping up to 2-4 guests. You can learn more about those rooms HERE.

Cars Section

This is one of my favorite areas of the the resort! You’ll find the Cars section right off the main lobby - you’ll turn right when you walk out of Animation Hall and go past the Dropoff Pool Bar. In this section you’ll find life size statues of your favorite characters from Cars like Mater, Doc Hudson, and Lightning McQueen!

This section also comes equipped with it’s own pool area. This is smaller than the main pool, but often quieter and it even has Cozy Cone themed cabanas for some shade. You do not have to be staying in the Cars section to use the pool, but you do need to be staying at the resort.

The buildings at this resort are free standing, so you will need to walk outside to get to places like the lobby, Skyliner, or bus stop, but the rooms themselves are interior, so your hotel door does not face outside.

The Rooms

As I mentioned earlier, these rooms are considered family suites and sleep up to 6 guests. There is a private bedroom featuring a Queen sized bed and it’s own bathroom with walk in shower.

The main room features a family room with a couch that pulls out into a full-sized bed, TV, and small kitchenette type area.

There is also a table and chairs that pull down into the third full-sized murphy bed.

There is also a second bathroom that features a shower/tub combo making getting ready in the morning MUCH more comfortable.

Other amenities include a safe, mini fridge (keep in mind this is more of a drink cooler than an actual fridge), extra bedding, ironing board & iron, and a microwave!

The theming is definitely over the top making it a super fun option for families with children! My favorite are the carwash themed bathrooms and traffic cone lights.
