Everything You need to Know about Disney’s Mobile ORder service

A few years ago, Disney started testing and rolling out a new way to skip the line and order your food from Quick Service Restaurants. Then, with the pandemic happening, they had to roll it out to pretty much all of their Quick Service Locations and honestly, we’re pretty pumped about it!

What is Mobile order

Typically when you are wanting to get something to eat at Casey’s Corner or Woody’s Lunch Box, you would go up to the register and wait in a sometimes super long long line. You order your food and pay at the register and then have to wait again for your food to be made.

Mobile Order is a way to preorder and pay for your food through the mobile app by reserving a time and then picking up your food when you are notified it is ready. Typically this means a little less time waiting in line and a convenient way to order your food ahead of time and not having to make too many decisions on what to eat when you get there.

How does it work

You will first want to make sure that you have the MyDisney Experience App downloaded onto your smart phone. From there, you will click on the Plus Sign in the center of the bottom of the screen and some options will pop up.

From there, you will click on ‘Order Food’ and find the restaurant you are wanting to order from. Your can also just search the restaurant and then click ‘Order Food’ from that screen.

Then you are going to choose your arrival window, or the time that you want to pick up your food. If you are planning on eating at a pretty popular meal time, you will want to reserve your time earlier in the day because there is a chance they may run out of available times.

The menu will then pop up and you will make your selections of all the items you would like to order and once complete, you will follow the prompts to complete your checkout.

You will be taken to a screen with your arrival window time and it’s VERY IMPORTANT that you click ‘I’m here, prepare my food’ when you are ready to pick up. If you do not, they will NOT prepare your food.

You will have to wait a little bit of time, but you are welcome to wander around nearby and once your food is ready, your screen will turn purple and tell you where you need to go to pick up your food.

You will need to show your screen to a cast member before entering, but from there, you will grab your food and it’s time to eat! Pretty easy!

Tips and Tricks

Order your meals on the bus on your way to the park!

We always love to order food for breakfast or lunch while we are on the bus or Skyliner to the park. That way, we can choose the arrival windows we want, but we also don’t have to mess around with trying to pick our food out while we are walking around the park.

We also like to do this if we know we are needing to eat at a popular meal time, so that we don’t have to worry about them getting booked up!

You might still have to wait for your food

Don’t worry! It usually isn’t too long, and you can still wander around a bit while you wait. If you are eating during a busy time, it can sometimes take a little bit to prepare your food. Usually, it’s faster than the normal line, but you may run into this from time to time. The best tip is to eat at off times when the restaurants aren’t as busy.

Use Mobile Order to Get Dole Whip!

You heard that right! At Aloha Isle in Magic Kingdom, you can use mobile order to get your Dole Whip! This line gets CRAZY long and we almost feel like we’re cheating when we get to ‘skip the line’!

Believe it or not, but alot of people still have no idea that Mobile Order is a thing you can do, so do yourself a favor and take advantage of it whenever you can!
