The Backstory

If you are a fan of Indiana Jones, you are going to LOVE this bar! It is based off of the pilot from the movies Jock Lindsey. You will be dining in his hangar where he has retired and stored many of his cool artifacts that Indy has collected for him during his adventures. You may even get to sit in a piece of a submarine!

Look closely because you will find TONS of easter eggs all over the restaurant and even a few interactive features.

The Ambiance

This is actually a pretty small lounge, but there is a good amount of outdoor seating. You for sure want to try and sit inside if you are able to because there is so much for you to look at! The Cast Members are boisterous, but not too obnoxious and it makes for a fun experience.

You will also want to keep your eye out because you may find some hidden details and even some animated decor like the ice box that bubbles and steams every once and awhile.

We were there a little earlier in the evening and found that it wasn’t too loud. There was a really great energy, but we didn’t feel like we had to yell at each other to when speaking.

There is bar seating and several tables located in the lounge, but you definitely want to try and sit in the submarine in the corner of the restaurant! It makes for some really great pics, but honestly any seat inside is great!

You don’t need a reservation, but it is a small lounge, so depending on how busy it is, you may have to wait. Luckily we went earlier in the evening so we didn’t wait more than 15 minutes!

The Menu

You will find an assortment of mixed drinks, wine, beer, and appetizers here. This isn’t a full restaurant and is definitely more of a bar style location, but you will find some AMAZING appetizers, flatbreads, and taco options that are perfect for a light bite to share.

There are plenty of specialty drinks that you for sure want to try and a fan favorite is the Air Pirates Cargo Loaded Pretzel which is basically a charcuterie nestled inside of a giant soft pretzel.

The Bacon of Doom

Another specialty item you HAVE to try if you get the chance is the Bacon of Doom! This is a circle of thick cut bacon dipped in Ganachery chocolate and covered in salt and more bacon bits. in the middle is your choice of one of two cocktails that you can share. We chose the Trusty Revolver which is a whiskey based drink with Orange liqueur. This paired perfectly for a chocolate orange flavoring.

All of this is encased in a glass dome filled with smoke. When they bring it to your table, they lift the glass and the smoke swirls around to pay a nod to the 2nd Indiana Jones movie - Temple of Doom.

This dish was DROOL worthy! The chocolate was amazing and the smoke gave the bacon an incredible flavor! The drink was definitely STRONG and very whiskey heavy. If you aren’t a whiskey fan, you can always get the margarita option. This easily was 4 drinks worth so for sure shareable between a few people.

This does have a hefty price tag of $32, so if that scares you, don’t worry! You can always get just the bacon (called The Temple of Bacon) and I’m sure it will be just as delicious!

Overall Thoughts

We absolutely LOVED this little lounge and thought that it is a great alternative if you are unable to get into Trader Sam’s. This has a similar kind of energy but not quite so boisterous. It is also a great one for Indiana Jones fans or if you are just looking for a more unique lounge experience.

We for sure are going to visit this bar again (and get that pretzel!) and would highly recommend as a must try place for your next trip!
