Grand Floridian Refurbished Rooms

Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort has been going through a BIG face lift and I am all about it! An overall vibe of light and airy colors and decor are replacing the old warmer heavier colors and theming that are being phased out. Let’s take a look!

Theming

These rooms are inspired by Mary Poppins Returns and feature lots of subtle touches and nods to the movie to give it a more luxurious feel. If you’ve dined at Citricos recently, you will see alot of similarities carried over into the rooms.

My favorite is the chandelier of little glass birds! (can you find the penguin?). Turn on the lamp and you will see the leaves blowing in the wind with Mary Poppin’s Umbrella. You’ll also see those umbrella details in the decorative pillows and even the dresser knobs!

Colors

The color scheme for these rooms are full of sky blue and soft pinks. This balance gives these rooms a relaxing and calm feel that is perfect to unwind after a long day at the parks! The whites and creams also give a very clean look (and who doesn’t love a clean hotel room?)

Ameneties

This refurb includes a full wall closet that come equipped with robes, extra pillows, a steamer, and LOTS of storage. The vanity area is great to have a space to get ready or just have additional counter space to dump your stuff.

The bathroom has a shower tub combo and of course our favorite H2O bath products! (at least for now) The mirror has perimeter lighting that give a TON of brightness to the bathroom.

The dresser has nice deep drawers and the couch even folds out into a bed! That means these rooms can sleep up to 5!

This resort is perfect for guests that want luxury and elegance during their vacation as well as super easy access to the theme parks. With Monorail, Boat, or Walking Access to Magic Kingdom you can easily come back for an afternoon break at the pool or simply a nice nap in your room!
