Ohana best friends character breakfast at Disney’s Polynesian village resort

That’s right, characters are BACK at Ohana Breakfast and it’s just as great (if not better) than I remember! Let’s take a look at the offerings, characters, and overall experience of one of Walt Disney Worlds most popular Character Meals.

This is a family style all you care to enjoy meal. This means you will get a skillet with all the offerings to share among the table. Then if you wish to have more helpings of any items, your server can bring as much as you like! The price is $45 per adult and $29 per child ages 3-9. They DO also accept Annual Pass and DVC Discounts.

Food

As you walk in your server will grab a nice warm loaf of ‘Welcome bread’. This is a soft and fluffy bread has bits of pineapple and is drizzled with icing. Probably one of the stars of the meal! You also get a bowl of fresh fruit which was indeed very ripe and full of flavor.

Can we talk about the unlimited POG Juice!? POG Juice is Pineapple Orange Guava Juice (or Stitch Juice as they like to call it at this restaurant). It’s highly popular around Disney and you get unlimited glasses during your meal. You can also of course request Coffee, Tea, or other specialty beverages (specialty beverages an additional cost). I did find it interesting that they didn’t automatically give you glasses of water, but I’m sure if you requested them, they’d be happy to bring those as well!

For your main course, you get a heaping platter of creamy scrambled eggs, potato wedges, sausage links, ham with pineapple topping, biscuits, and of course Mickey AND Stitch waffles! It was honestly all pretty good, but the standouts were definitely the ham, potatoes, and eggs. There is Jelly for the biscuits on the table, but you can request honey if you prefer!

Characters

You can meet Lilo & Stitch, Mickey, and Pluto at this character meal. This is the ONLY place to meet Lilo on property and although you can see Stitch in Tomorrowland at Magic Kingdom, this is the only place you can hug and get autographs with him! Mickey is in his Hawaiian shirt (that Minnie made for him) and everyone is all decked out in their lei’s.

The characters come to your table individually and they also will do a fun parade around the restaurant with fun music. Have your autograph books and cameras ready as these interactions do happen quick and since this is a bigger restaurant, they only really have time to make it to your table once.

If you don’t care too much about getting the hand signed autographs, you do get a souvenir postcard with pictures of the characters and their signatures to take home. This is a new addition to character meals around property and one that I love!

Overall

This is a super fun character experience! The food is delicious, the characters are alot of fun, and this is a very well paced meal! I highly recommend this one if you want a more relaxed start to your Magic Kingdom day or if you are looking for something fun to do on your resort day. Remember, characters are only here for breakfast, not for lunch or dinner.

Dining reservations can be made 60 days in advance and as this is a super popular one, I highly recommend snagging this one at that 60 day mark! Unable to get a reservation? Be sure to keep checking back on the app! You never know what might pop up! You can also give the walk up wait list a try. It’s not guaranteed, but it never hurts to try.
