My FAVORITE Disney Park shoes to wear every day

Nothing ruins a Disney Vacation faster than improper footwear that causes blisters and sore feet. The average guest walks around 20,000 steps EVERY DAY in the parks. That is alot more than your average day to day and if you have multiple park days planned, proper footwear is a MUST.

Over the years, I’ve tried alot of different types of shoes and as someone who gets blisters really easily, I’ve finally come up with my tried and true shoe options that I will swear by!

Tennis Shoes

Comfy shoes are important, but I HATE shoes that are overly cushioned (which are actually really bad for your feet long term, btw) and shoes that are clunky. I want my feet to be able to breathe and I want them to be a good quality that will last me a looong time.

My Absolute FAVORITE brand is by a company called AllBirds. They have a wide variety of tennis shoes and fashion sneakers (as well as flats and sliders) that are lightweight, look great, and are super comfortable.

One of the things that draws me to this company is that they are a certified B Corporation which means they strive to use sustainable and renewable materials as much as they can and their goal is to have as low of a carbon footprint as possible. I am personally super into eco friendly practices, so this is a HUGE plus for me!

The Tree Runners are my main tennis shoe that both I and my husband wear and we each have multiple pairs of these. They are very simple and they are made from responsibly sourced eucalyptus tree fibers. The material is almost like a knit woven material, so they are incredibly breathable and flexible.

The insoles are made from wool, so they don’t get smelly like most tennis shoes with synthetic fibers and they are soft enough that you could even go sockless if you wanted! (although… I typically don’t because I hate the feeling of shoes without socks… but they are pretty comfortable without them! lol)

My other favorite pair are my Tree Pipers. Made from the same material, these are more of a fashion sneaker style for when I want something that is a little less obviously a tennis shoe. These are just as comfortable and feature a wider toe bed which is nice when I need a little more room.

These are even machine washable, so if they get dirty (and mine get absolutely filthy) a nice soak in the machine and a little mister clean magic eraser on the soles and they are basically good as new!

The only downside to these shoes is that they are NOT waterproof. HOWEVER, we’ve sprayed ours with a water resistant shoe spray and that seems to do the trick just fine! If it does rain on your trip and your shoes get soaked, just use a hairdryer and they should dry fairly quickly!

Sandals

I have two types of sandals that I like to wear depending on what we are doing. First up are my Tevas! My husband and I LOVE these as a park shoe because they are super lightweight, very breathable, work great on rainy days, and dry very quickly.

They are meant to be an adventure shoe and they come in a few different varieties depending on your food needs. We really like the Original Universal style, but if you need a little more cushion, the Universal Trail's are my go-to’s. They have additional cushioning in the sole and the straps have extra padding for those that are prone to blisters.

These also come in a HUGE variety of colors and styles and they are pretty affordable! (so be warned… collecting these can be kind of addicting)

BONUS if you are planning on heading to the water parks, you ARE allowed to wear these shoes in the pools and tube slides! (You have to take them off for body slides). This is a great option if you don’t want to bring a separate pair of water shoes since they dry fairly quickly!

My other favorite sandal if I’m wanting something that looks cute but is also comfy for a nice dinner or just a cuter park day outfit are my REEF Water Vista Sandals.

These are made from a material that reminds me alot of crocs, but they are MUCH more of an attractive shoe and they are anti-rub, so blisters rarely happen! Since these are a rubbery material, they are also waterproof and they come in a TON of colors! I currently wear the white ones all the time, but I also have black, yellow, and I won’t lie…. I’m about to get the brown ones too because I love them so much!

I go to the parks at least a few days each week, and walk an average of 10K-17K steps every time I go, so these shoes have been well tested and I LOVE every one of them!
